White Beach is the main commercial centre in Boracay and the street is lined with shops selling souvenirs, clothing and beach gear. Handicrafts include costume jewellery made out of shells, home décor items and paintings. The D'all flea market is also popular for beach wear, accessories, clothes and toiletries.
In smaller villages outside of the main tourist areas, local craftsmen sell local products such as bamboo or rattan baskets. Chinese 'antiques' are also widely offered, a legacy from the time when the Philippines were on the Chinese trading routes. These include brassware, embroidery made from pineapple fibre, woven mats made from pandan leaves and woodcarvings.
