The Villa

Steps from a private car park climb through the sloping front garden directly to the first of three multi-storey pavillions positioned around an 18 metre swimming pool. This pavillion is home to three of the villa’s six ensuite bedrooms. Two of them boast private, furnished terraces that look out on the breathtaking ocean views, while the third is a twin located at the rear and therefore ideal for younger guests. A flat lawn in front of the lower bedroom offers the ideal spot for a barbecue.

The wide, brushed sandstone pool terrace on the villa’s middle level is furnished with cushioned loungers and backed by a waterfall with steps leading over a pond to a private bar and pool lounge. The pool terrace also fronts the villa’s expansive, two-storey central living and bedroom pavillion and inside, the bright, seamless living space features a lounge area furnished with a large sofa and wall mounted flat screen TV. There’s also a 12-seater dining table positioned for seaview meals and a fully equipped, fitted western kitchen with an island breakfast bar.

Stairs from the main living area access an upper floor landing with two identical guest bedrooms positioned to the left and right, respectively. Each offers a king size double bed, wall-mounted TV and sliding glass doors that open onto a generous covered terrace with wide, seascape views. Both bedrooms also boast ensuites with rainshowers and indulgent bath tubs.

The villa’s third pavillion comprises three separate levels, the upper floor housing a delightful master bedroom suite complete with double bed, walk-around wardrobe, and a huge ensuite bathroom with unique twin rainshowers and an oversized bathtub. The master suite also boasts its own private, furnished, oceanview terrace looking out over the incredible vista of palm trees and indigo seas.

Stairs from the master bedroom access the pool lounge and bar, which is furnished with sofas and daybeds for evening gatherings. Meanwhile, a door at the back of the lounge opens into a purpose-built soundproofed AV room complete with another large, sink-into sofa and wall mounted flat screen TV for movie nights or live sport beamed via the satellite channels.

Below the lounge, a games room and a modest gym with exercise machines provides additional options for active guests, while down by the car park, a private tennis court os also available for guest use.

Staying at Monsoon Villa

Villa Monsoon is a highly flexible holiday villa that would suit a large family with children as much as it would a group of young professionals on a long weekend break from a nearby city such as Bangkok or Singapore.

Although not located right on the beach, the villa’s stunning ocean views easily compensate for the lack of sand, and the 18 metre pool, wide terraces and comfortable lounge and bar area provide the perfect place to pass some relaxing days exactly as you want them to be.

Personal privacy and practical minimalism dominate the design scheme at Villa Monsoon, which means guests can really take things down a level, leaving stress and formalities behind to kick back in spacious comfort, surrounded by glorious tropical scenery.

  • The resident villa staff will ensure the villa is kept clean and tidy and the Villa Manager is available to cater to all guests’ specific needs and help organise activities, massage and spa treatments, as well as dealing with any matters arising at the villa
  • Our Guest Relations & Concierge team will visit guests during their stay (usually the day after check in) to further help ensuring guests have a pleasant stay or address any matters arising at the villa
  • Bed linen is changed every third day
  • Pool & Bath Towels are provided and changed as necessary. We do appreciate our guests help to conserve water usage and thus sustaining our pristine island environment
  • Concierge service for all tours and activities; private tours can also be arranged

  • Daily rates from US$ 600 to US$1950 for the entire house or US$600 for 3 bedrooms (in intermediate seasons only)
  • Minimum stay of 3 nights (7 nights over Christmas or New Year and 10 nights over both holidays, 5 nights for Chinese New Year, Easter and Songkran)
  • Rates shown are for a maximum of 10 (ten) Guests (including children). Extra bed will be charged at US$50 per night
  • Daily Rates and extra beds are subject to 10% service charge and 7% tax
  • Airport transfer: US$ 50 (plus tax) per trip for a maximum of 9 passengers in private mini bus or luxury car
  • Baby cot provided free of charge
  • Rates include daily Continental breakfast
  • For weddings and private parties, a surcharge may be applicable depending on number of guest. Also the villa booking conditions may change such as the required minimum nights stay. Location

Villa Monsoon is located on a palm clad hillside overlooking the northwest coast of Koh Samui, just 5 minutes from the modest seaside village of Bang Por where a narrow, picturesque beach and swimmable seas are accessible year-round. The area is known for its local shoreside restaurants, which serve fresh seafood to local and international diners.

A stylish boutique resort – CODE – occupies the hillside behind the property and its restaurant offers a range of Thai and western favourites. Samui International Airport is around 30 minutes’ drive south of the villa and Chaweng Beach is around 45 minutes by car. The island’s main port town of Nathon is 10 minutes to the north and is home to a fresh market and a well stocked Tesco Lotus supermarket.
